Christmas in my blood

You know its coming right?  I tried to ignore it.  Refused to process the signs.  But as a knitter I must face the truth.  We are now entering the “Christmas Rush”  We are still in the early optimistic stages.  At a time when we still wholeheartedly believe we will knit a handmade gift for each of our loved ones.   And we believe it.

Well today I am composing my list and gathering the requisite yarn from stash and appropriate needles.  Some of the items on my list include the following…

1. Irish Hiking Scarf

2. Besotted Scarf

3. Sock Monkey Hat

3. A hat with  THIS Worked into it

For obvious reasons I wont pin which gift is intended for whom. I do have other projects on the list, but they use *GASP* printed patterns from books.  And for all my “one skein” “last minute” “quick and easy”  friggin books of patterns I’ll leave you with what my dad used to say, and his dad before him….

“The road to hell is paved with good intentions”

Not that I’m going to hell if I dont finish that Irish Hiking scarf, but you get the gist.

So, scared yet?  How big is YOUR list?

No list for x-mas. People here don’t appriciate such things for x-mas! Loosers! I know! But I have pretty big list for few couple of months (sweaters, scarves, poncho, capellet…)

Oh this is an easy question!!! I don’t have a list so if someone gets something handmade by me for Christmas…..they should consider themselves extremely privileged!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nah, I’m not afraid because I don’t knit for Christmas anymore. I used to…caused me so much anxiety I had to stop. LOL

I love the graph you’re gonna use for a hat! I’m gonna save it and make one myself, one day.
