I might have a touch of september blues. The feeling that i have to adjust all my routines and be all things to all people (well maybe just to three people) coupled with a COMPLETELY INSANE work schedule.
But I’m coming to terms with things now that its mid month and getting a handle on it all. I even did a little sewing project with Rachel last night. We made the Little Boxy Pouch as suggested and linked by Sandra.

I thought Rachel might enjoy such a tiny sewing project that yields such cutesie and functional results. We sat together to make the first one, reading through the instructions and learning how to use the zipper foot for the sewing machine. And I told her she could raid my fabric stash to make one on her own later if she likes. We came up with this.

Rachel loves it! Great fun. I can see making quite a few more of these, what a great gift idea. A set of three of these in different sizes for a girlfriend or mother etc.. super.
And I shaved my dog yesterday. No exciting right? It is if you give her a mohawk and dye her hair.

She’s a dog, she gets to be wild without judgment.
Happy Knitting, spinning and sewing to all!
lol your poor doggie lol!! – I love the little bag – you tricked me with that title – i thought you were going to have some pretty blue handspun in the post
Your box pouch looks great! I’m intimitated by zippers. You did great! I LOVE your dogs new hair-doo!
)
Love how pouch turned out! Great!
Shannon I love the pouch, I think I may have to try it.
Is that a poodle? I grew up with poodles and you’ve just brought hundreds of memories flooding back… sporting many a hairstyle, sunglasses.
I LOVE the poodle do!!
Poor Jasmine! Does she like her new ‘look’?
BTW, love that ‘boxy bag’. It’s a fantastic storage idea! Make one big enough to hold all your circulars, and one long enough to hold all your dpns, and the third one for your straight needles! And presto, magico, your knitting needles are in order!
hummmmm… Wanna send me the link to the pattern?
Your dog is b-b-b-bad to the b-b-b-bone! I think she needs a skull-and-crossbones charm for her collar!
Nice pouch! Do you think even I could make one? I just looked at the tutorial and it looks fairly straightforward, that maybe even someone machine-challenged such as myself could make one. I just have to check my machine peripherals to see if I have a zipper foot.
Love the pouch! =) and great doggie hair do, too, that’s so cute.
The dog looks great.
