There are some really beautiful differences to living a little out of the city compared with being inner city dwellers. For instance, we are often amazed that we can put our garbage out at night and nothing gets into it before the morning collection. When driving home we see cows and horses, and even foxes dashing through the fields along side our little community. The first time we did some gardening out back we discovered toads living beside our shed! Now we are by no means in the country or anything, but we are far enough away from the city chatter and the crammed subdivisions to enjoy a little more nature than we are used to. And quite enjoyably, this includes a family of bunnies living near our yard somewhere!
Recently we have seen a big big mamma bunny loping into our yard for some fresh greens and now all of a sudden I have seen some wee bunnies! Last night a particularly playful one was zooming in and around our yard jumping and frolicking and stopping to snack on my weeds (good bunny! eat ‘em up!)
Rena and I watched and enjoyed every delightful jump and decided to see how close we could get.
I see you little bunny…

Rena wonders if she can get a closer look…

A Little Closer…

A Little Closer…

A Little Closer Still…

TOO CLOSE!

Rena insisted we leave a carrot by the bush for the bunny, because he may come back. How could I say no?
And shortly there after when I resumed doing the dishes, he came hopping back in the yard again to race around the pool and enjoy my fine weeds!
Wow, there’s a bunny that hasn’t been exposed to many humans. Amazing to get as close as she did. I loved living in a neighbourhood with the occasional bunny spotting.
Thank you for sharing. I remember how it feels to see a little bunny and any wildlife.
Love to all

Oh my gosh! Rena looks so big! She’s growing like crazy.
I can’t believe Rena got so close! Good for you for grabbing your camera so quickly.
